I was given the name of this reel by the Leitrim fiddler Tom Mulligan when he played it one Wednesday night at the old Church Street Club in Dublin. He said it was regarded as a Leitrim tune by older musicians from that county. I learned it from a 1968 Matt Molloy radio broadcast.
