I’ve often played this for solo dancing and remember the first time I played it in Saint Paul when we did a night’s playing in MacCafferty’s. A spirited dancer leapt out in front of me in readiness for the tune. It was Sheila Jordan, who danced with great poise and gusto. The tune was ideal for both of us, as dancer and musician pulsated the floor to the sound of clapping hands.
