    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    This sounds like a reel from the Co. Antrim area of Ulster. Belfast fiddler Dermie Diamond gave it to me on a home recording of his music. With no name for the tune, its title grew from the image it gave me of stubbornness sanctified by the harmony of cooperation.
