    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    This is an old reel from the Sligo / Leitrim region. I played it at John D. McGurk’s bar in Saint Louis, Missouri on a quiet Tuesday evening when suddenly a thunderous barrage of footwork hit the floor. Kilkenny man and musician Larry McNally had burst into a solo dance of uncontrolled appreciation. I don’t have the original name, and I thought the tune deserved this title.
