    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     I’ve written some notes already regarding Eddie Maloney, who played the fiddle with the Ballinakill Céilí Band. Eddie also played with the Galway ensemble Shaskeen, and was a great contributor of old tunes such as this jig. It’s worth writing here that Eddie was an exceptionally great flute player with a wonderful knack of utilizing the dynamics of the instrument and therefore projecting his music with exceptional phrasing and rhythmic ease.
