    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    John Brady is a very well known flute player from Fentor, near Killeigh, in County Offaly. He has composed a multitude of reels, hornpipes, marches, etc. He has won several All-Ireland senior competitions as a solo player and with various combinations of duets, trios, and also as the inspiration behind the success of The Long Ridge Céilí Band. John gave me this hornpipe at a session in his home in 1968.
