    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    I have written a lot about Sean Ryan’s fiddle playing and his compositions because I knew him as a music partner. He gave me this hornpipe shortly after he composed it. At that time (1967), he didn’t have a name for it. He said he’d baptize the tune when the time was right.
