    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

It is also played as part of a long, descriptive piece of music that glorifies the Battle of Knockinoss (also known as the Battle of Cnoc na nDos, November 13, 1647) and in closing laments the assassination of a general who led the Irish side, a Scotsman whose name was Allistrum, or Sir Alastair ‘Colkitto’ MacDonald.
