The translation of this is ‘The Fair-Haired Child’. I first heard it played by west Co. Limerick flute player Paddy Taylor (1914-1976) who recorded it on his solo flute album ‘The Boy in the Gap’, on the Claddagh Records label. It was from the same recording that I learned it.
