    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    Martin is a very well known box player from Co. Galway, who emigrated to the U.S. in the 1950s. His reputation as a composer of jigs and reels skyrocketed as soon as his first tunes hit the Irish music scene, although many of his reels were played for years without anyone being
    aware of the fact that they came from Martin’s imagination.
