Captain Francis O’Neill learned this four-part jig from his mother, Kathleen O’Mahony. Later he included it in his O’Neill’s 1001 collection. I first heard it played by Paddy O’Brien of Co. Tipperary, but finally learned it from the fine fiddle playing of Joe Ryan of Julianstown, Co. Meath (and originally from lnagh, Co. Clare.)
