    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    This is one of fiddler Tommy Peoples’ compositions. I learned it after Tommy put it on a tape for me. This tape also has many more tunes from Tommy, but for extra value, the tape continued with Tommy roaring with laughter after I told him a story about a lame donkey whose owner brought him to a local church. The owner emptied all the holy water fonts of holy water and poured it all into a bucket. The story continued with the donkey drinking the holy water and being ready and able to work the following day.
