    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    ITMA is eligible for 501(c)3 donations, so for potential donors based in the USA, donating to ITMA can be a tax efficient way of making more and more archival material accessible to remote users.

    Denis Murphy had two settings of this one, which he often played together. People who played just the one setting would continue, not knowing the difference, since both settings were very much alike. Denis was always amused at this, and would break into small chuckles of laughter. Nobody knew what he was laughing at except a few close friends. Johnny O’Leary once said that Denis would never tell any musician what was what about a tune setting.
