The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance. If you’re able, we’d love for you to consider a donation. Any level of support will help us preserve and grow this tradition for future generations.
I first heard button accordionist Joe Lee of Geashill / Tullamore play this one night in his bar in Church Street. I was immediately smitten by its melody, and went on to explore it more from the musicianship of other players. Lots of musicians were my source of finally leaming and playing it. It’s another from the O’Neill / Chicago era.
