The translation of this title is ‘Women of Ireland’, and it was composed by the late Seán Ó Riada sometime during the late 1960s. The Chieftains played the air as part of the soundtrack for the movie ‘Barry Lyndon’ and received an Oscar for their performance. No mention of Ó Riada was cited at the awards ceremony.
