    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    Temple Hill’ is the final tune of a long descriptive set of tunes similar to ‘The Fox Chase’, but in this case it sets the mood of the Battle of Cnoc na nDos (also known as Knockinoss), fought in 1647, that ended with the death of Alastair ‘Colkitto’ MacDonald, a Scottish general who fought with the Irish side.
