Galway flute player Tony Molloy of Loughrea is very much associated with this tune. As a founding member of the Leitrim Céilí Band of Galway, he is remembered for introducing this fine jig. Because of the band’s popularity, the tune being a regular part of their repertoire, it became widely played by solo box players who introduced it at pub and Fleadh Cheoil sessions.
