When Ciarán Mac Mathúna and his radio program ‘A Job of Journeywork’ visited the U.S. during the early 1960s, he recorded fiddler Larry Redican in New York. Larry played this one, which at the time was a rare tune that had escaped attention due to being in the miscellaneous section of O’Neill’s 1850 collection. Later on, Ciarán featured Larry playing it on his radio program.
