    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Make your donation go further: a donation of €250 or more in any tax year is worth an additional 44.93% to ITMA. So for €50 more, ITMA can claim an additional €112.33 tax back from revenue.

    Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    It is written that O’Carolan was in love with Miss Cruise, having met her when they were both teenagers, and he apparently never forgot her, because years later he composed this piece of music in her honor. The tune is said to be composed in the old style of the Gaelic harpers.
