I never heard anyone else play this, except east Galway fiddler Lucy Farr. She would usually play it as a request in Tom Moylan’s pub in Loughrea, the home of many a great music session during the early 1970s. Lucy often stopped into Moylan’s pub when home on holidays from London, where she would meet old friends like flute player Paddy Carty and his music partner Paddy Fahey, and perhaps tape a few new tunes.
