I first heard this tune from accordion player John Regan, and later fiddle and concertina player John Kelly talked of it being a tune from the old Co. Antrim fiddlers. The sound of its note patterns seems to unfold an imagery for me of a flat crested mountain with a field of uncut golden hay swaying in front of a late summer breeze. With no title for it, I took the liberty of naming it after what my mind’s eye beheld.
