    The Irish Traditional Music Archive (ITMA) is committed to providing free, universal access to the rich cultural tradition of Irish music, song and dance.     Irish-based donors can see their donations augmented by the State through the CHY3 form, which makes any donation above €250 worth €362.33 towards ITMA’s archival work, at no additional cost to you.

    I made this one while visiting accordion player Donal Ward and his parents in Carrick, Co. Donegal during August 1969. There was some hay-saving being done while I was there, and much to my embarrassment I missed the hard work due to a convenient flu. Because I was sensitive about the event, I later offered this reel as a gesture of respect to the hospitality of their kitchen.
