Andy McGann is one of many Irish American musicians whose love for traditional Irish music in the United States represents a strong cultural connection with Ireland. The tradition is also a heritage of noble musicianship that has yet to be fully appreciated both here and in Ireland itself. Andy is the only fiddler I’ve ever heard play this reel. Its title reflects humble isolation.
