I remember learning this jig from a 78 rpm recording of fiddler Hughie Gillespie, who followed it with a version of ‘The Rose of Lough Gill’. It was also played by fiddler Michael Coleman on a non-commercial home recording, which was cut on James ‘Lad’ O’Beirne’s recording machine. Bainbridge Road is in the Bronx area of New York, not far from where these musicians once lived. This jig seems to be a short setting of ‘Cherish the Ladies’.
