It was from a recording of accordion player Joe Burke that I learned this jig in 1966. It’s another jig that went out of circulation in Ireland. A number of Irish American musicians took it from the O’Neill collection and later Joe recorded it with Andy McGann and Felix Dolan. After their recording, ‘A Tribute to Michael Coleman’, was released in New York, the jig with others from the same record began to do the rounds again in Ireland.
