There are a few other names for this, which I’m told is a very old west Clare piping jig usually played with five parts. Piper Willie Clancy is credited with introducing it to his many followers, including Tony MacMahon, who played it on ‘Fleadh Cheoil an Raidió’ in 1968. It was the first time I heard it. Willie and Tony both liked to call the tune ‘An Phish Fluicht.’
