Francie ‘Dearg’ O’Byrne and his brother Mickey fiddled this three-part reel on Irish RTÉ television during the early 1970s. It was the first time I heard it, but I wasn’t to learn it until many years later. These two brothers came from near Kilcar, Co. Donegal, and were a source of many great and unusual Donegal tunes.
